Then when the family moved to Thames,
he finished his schooling at Thames South School.
1926 played rugby for the school.
|1928||Left school and went farming in Paeroa for a year|
|Returned to Thames where he took up
an Engineering apprenticeship at
A & G Price, (Foundary & Boilermakers), till he was 23yrs.
|1932||Active member of the St Johns Ambulance Brigade.
